Within the scope of April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day events, the feast organized by the Women's Branches of the UBP Nicosia District Presidency in Walled City attracted great attention.

UBP Nicosia District Presidency Women's Branches organized a feast in Surlariçi with the participation of hundreds of children and families from all over Nicosia as part of the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day events.

Speaker of the Parliament Zorlu Töre, UBP MPs, Members of the Municipal Assembly, Members of the District Executive Board, Heads of Organizations, as well as representatives of youth and women's branches attended the festival, where creative workshops and games designed for children, face painting, musical performances, dance shows and competitions were held. Gift packages specially prepared for children were also distributed at the festival.

In his speech at the event, Nicosia District President and UBP MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan pointed out that this meaningful day, which Atatürk gifted to children, is an important opportunity to contribute to the personal and social development of children as well as the awareness of national sovereignty. Savaşan said, “Today, our feast area, which is overflowing with the joy of our children, who are Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's trust to us, is once again greening our hope for the future.”.

Pointing out that the happiness, hope and enthusiasm on the faces of children from all over Nicosia on this meaningful day reminds us once again how valuable Atatürk's belief in children is, Ahmet Savaşan said: “These celebrations contribute to the strengthening of both children and adults” awareness of national sovereignty and democracy as well as their feelings of social unity and solidarity.".
